Equal Assurance has transformed into a confederated framework of accredited certification bodies. Equal Assurance Pty Ltd has invested heavily in The Equal Assurance Management System (TEAMS), including Qdos (our online data operating system), to support its practices.
Whilst this business model was suitable for many years, TEAMS has evolved into a method of management and delivery that ought no longer to be limited to one certification body. Therefore, in 2013, the decision was made to restructure the business so that TEAMS was to be sold to Equal Group Pty Ltd (trading as Equal Assurance), and have Equal Assurance Pty Ltd become a “partner” of Equal Assurance through a Partner Agreement that allowed the licensed use of TEAMS.
Whilst the net result has had very little of any operational impact on existing clients and practices, the new confederated framework allows Equal Assurance to license other certification providers, under its own brand, thereby providing a more leveraged approach to global expansion.
